Health, Social Awareness and NutritionAll too frequently, women living in disadvantaged communities do not receive the health care they need. That is why we ensure that the women in our communities have access to health services. We ensure that a gynecologist is available at our community centers every month to attend to women’s health and the needs of expectant mothers. Women in the communities we serve also have access to a number of health camps throughout the year, including skin checkups, cancer checkups, HIV testing and eye care.
In addition to ensuring access to health services, we teach women how to prepare low cost, balanced meals. We also run community kitchens, providing nutritious food for children and nursing mothers. |
